ABB, IHC Caland's Atlantia, and FMC-Modec submitted bids in early August to build the two TLPs.
Contract awards may come as soon as September although some industry sources expect the award date to slip.
The TLP bid package was among the first of the tender invitations to be issued because Hess is said to be keen to get started with the project's longest lead items.
