US independent Hess is ready to ramp up a new cycle of exploration in the US Gulf and is keen on the potential of projects there following efficiency improvements over the past five years.
The company ranked among the top five bidders in the last two US Gulf lease sales and is eyeing both new exploration as well as ongoing work at its existing hubs in the region, vice president offshore Gerbert Schoonman told a lunch at the Offshore Technology Conference last week.
