US proppant supplier Hi-Crush Partners is gearing up for increased production capacity at a second in-basin frack sand facility serving the Permian shale play in west Texas.
The Houston-based company in the fourth quarter completed an additional facility at a complex in Kermit, Texas, increasing production capacity to 6 million tonnes per year. Hi-Crush expects the facility to reach full run-rate in March.
