Upstream newcomer BW Energy is mulling over a stand-alone project to tap its recent Hibiscus discovery in the Dussafu Marine licence off Gabon, writes Steve Marshall.
The Oslo-listed player has decided to start a sidetrack from its DHIBM-1 discovery well, which hit a 33-metre hydrocarbon column after being drilled last month by jack-up Borr Norve.
This probe aims to grant a better understanding of the find’s resource potential in the Gamba formation.
