The other bidders in the high-stakes battle were Brown & Root with Hyundai; McDermott and Sime Sembawang; and Kvaerner, Malaysia Shipyard and Engineering with Sembawang Marine and Offshore Engineering. The winning design encompasses a 14,000-tonne central processing platform, a 70,000-dwt newbuild floating storage and offloading vessel with storage capacity for 500,000 barrels of condensate, three wellhead platforms and a riser platform.
High-stakes battle over for Cakerawala project
CARIGALI-TRITON Operating Company has issued a letter of intent to a Technip, Samsung and Saipem consortium for a $550 million turnkey engineering, procurement and construction project to develop gas and condensate resources in block A-18 of the Malaysia-Thailand Joint Development Area.
