Private US operator Hilcorp has closed two oil platforms in Alaska's Cook Inlet as it gets ready to repair a leaking natural gas pipeline that provides fuel to the installations, writes Caroline Evans.
The company said it had completed shut-in operations at the A and C platforms in the Middle Ground Shoal area.
The company expects to mobilise equipment and deploy divers to begin repair operations within the next 10 days.
