Vietnam's Hoang Long joint operating company has decided to drill a second high-pressure, high-temperature well into the Te Giac Trang offshore oilfield later this year, writes Russell Searancke.
The first high-pressure, high-temperature well, TGT-31P, reached total depth on 16 January, hitting hydrocarbons in the D1 and E Oligocene targets. A single drillstem test flowed oil to surface under controlled conditions, said Soco International, one of the Hoang Long partners.
