Hocol is expected to conclude the drilling operation on its Tangara prospect by late 2004, after spudding the well in July, an executive with the company said.
Wells in this part of the Llanos foothills face the complex geology of a thrust belt and typically probe to depths of 17,000 feet or more. The Hocol well is following the trend from the BP-operated Cusiana-Cupiagua development.
