The company said its net loss swelled to $16.3 million in the quarter from $2.8 million a year earlier. Revenues shrank 8% to $33.8 million.
The bigger loss was due to increased depreciation and interest costs after Hoegh LNG took delivery of the Independence and PGN FSRU Lampong vessels.
The Independence was mostly idle in the third quarter due to a weak spot market, before starting its 10-year contract in Lithuania last month.
