Premier Oil has been handed two further warnings by UK inspectors over safety failures on the ageing Balmoral floating production facility in the central North Sea.
The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) has served two improvement notices against the UK independent following a March inspection.
The HSE issued a prohibition notice earlier that month because gases were not being burnt off by the flare system, leading to a risk of fire and explosion.
