UK-based Hurricane Energy has finally hooked up the upgraded Aoka Mizu floating production, storage and offloading vessel to the turret mooring system buoy at the Lancaster field in the West of Shetland area, writes Anamaria Deduleasa.
The FPSO is now on station and securely moored, the operator said.
Hurricane is currently proceeding towards the first phase of development of Lancaster, an early production system that will be the UK’s first basement field development and involves a two-well tie-back to the Aoka Mizu.
