Husky’s block, covering about 10,300 square kilometres, 100 kilometres south-west of Taiwan, is the first in a 79,810-kilometre deep-water area in water depths of 1000 to 3000 metres that CPC has marked out off southern Taiwan for joint exploration.
According to the PSC, Husky has completed 5000 kilometres of 2D seismic surveys and has an option on whether or not to enter into the second phase this October.
