Husky Energy, operator of the White Rose oil and gas field off Newfoundland, Canada, is seeking expressions of interest and pre-qualification responses from contractors for the potential retrieval of a turret cover plate of its SeaRose floating production, storage and offloading vessel, writes Iain Esau.
Once retrieved from the seabed at White Rose (where it has been wet stored), the 265-tonne cover plate would be re-delivered to the quayside at Argentia — where a dry dock has been built — in mid-2019.
