The Canadian integrated major, controlled by Hong Kong-based billionaire Li Ka-shing, reported output of 285,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day in the quarter, down from 309,000 boepd as a result of planned maintenance at its SeaRose floating production, storage and offloading vessel and Terra Nova FPSO projects off Newfoundland & Labrador.

However, chief executive Asim Ghosh highlighted Husky’s heavy oil operations, including thermal production and horizontal drilling, as a major part of the company’s long-term plans.
