CALGARY-based Husky Energy has contracted the Hansa Heavy Lift vessel Tokyo to recover a 265-tonne turret cover plate from the seabed off Newfoundland, Canada.

The cover plate is near Husky’s producing SeaRose floating production, storage and offloading vessel on the Grand Banks in about 115 metres of water.

HHL Tokyo will  offload it at Argentia port in Newfoundland. The cover plate has been wet stored at the White Rose location for five years.
