Husky Energy has spudded an exploration well off Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada.

A Husky spokesperson said the Tiger’s Eye D-17 probe began drilling on 3 April using semi-submersible Henry Goodrich.

However, according to a Canada-Newfoundland & Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board dated 8 April, initial operations were hit by harsh weather.

Tiger’s Eye lies in Exploration Licence 1122, about 10 kilometres south of Husky’s White Rose field and east of its Fortune discovery.
