Canadian independent Husky Energy is set to delay the award of the subsea equipment contract needed to develop the deep-water Liuhua 29-1 gas field in the South China Sea by six more months.
Industry officials said the company has made competing subsea vendors aware that the award for the contract to supply the field’s manifold and umbilical is unlikely to be issued over the next six months.
