Following the completion of a testing programme to the satisfaction of the Certifying Authority, production may be increased to 137,000 bpd, said the Canada-Newfoundland Offshore Petroleum Board (CNOPB).
Operated by Husky for Petro-Canada, the White Rose project applied to the CNOPB in September for an annual oil production rate increase.
The board approved the increase, subject to several technical conditions relating to safety and conservation.
