Industry sources said the final award is still pending approval from the Petronas board, which may happen in November.
Sources added that Hyundai recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Aker for the Baronia project. Hyundai is also said to have possible plans to set up its own team to implement the detailed engineering in Kuala Lumpur if the Baronia award is finalised.
