The company’s commercial director John Langhus told Upstream that if all went to plan, talks could start with contractors in the second half of 2011, with the aim of producing first gas in 2014 or 2015.
The base case development solution remains subsea wells tied back to mini-tension leg platforms.
However, Langhus cautioned that such a long time has passed since this development scenario was chosen that it will need to be reviewed to ensure it still passes muster and that this evaluation work will take place in the coming months.
