The Indian government is poised to announce a gas price premium for deep-water, ultra-deepwater and discoveries in other extremely difficult fields, which could likely boost offshore exploration and development efforts in the country.
Indian Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said the ministries involved have reached an agreement and an announcement will be made soon.
“There is now an in-principle agreement over the issue of gas price premium between the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas and the Ministry of Finance.
