India has increased the number of oil and gas licensing rounds to be offered as it aims to boost investment and award acreage on a fast-track basis, writes Nishant Ugal.
The country's Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (DGH) now plans to carry out three rounds of the Open Acreage & Licensing Policy (OALP) annually, instead of the two rounds initially being offered.
