National Oilwell Varco has been awarded a contract to supply a large submerged turret production system for a newbuild floating production, storage and offloading vessel bound for India.
The US contractor said its client is South Korea's Samsung Heavy Industries, which won the FPSO contract with Reliance Industries in April 2019.
NOV said the "unique, innovative and flexible turret mooring system would be used for Reliance Industries' FPSO on a major deep-water gas and condensate project off India's east coast in the Bay of Bengal".
