India’s Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is pressing ahead with its $5 billion plus KG-DWN-98/2 deep-water development project off the country’s east coast, as it aims to almost double gas production by 2022, also helped by ongoing expansion in the west, writes Nishant Ugal.
Western offshore fields including Daman, Vasai East, the C-26 cluster and Bassein are expected to significantly contribute to ONGC’s gas production over the next few years.
