Newly appointed head Ego Syahrial admitted that with a budget of less than $60 million, the geological agency was struggling with the size of its task.
“To be honest, the government’s abilities in this field are very limited, which is why I want to encourage a larger role from the private sector,” said Ego.
“We will try to review existing regulations to find out why we are not competitive enough.”
