Malaysia has been tipped as the most likely international supplier of LNG to the West Java project, and volumes of between 1.5 million and 2 million tonnes per annum are under discussion. PLN is also in talks regarding similar volumes with Badak NGL's Bontang project in East Kalimantan, Indonesia.
The $300 million West Java plant will initially be able to supply 400 million cubic feet per day of gas and will likely be expanded to 800 MMcfd.
