Minister of Energy & Mineral Resources Ignasius Jonan and head of upstream regulator SKK Migas Dwi Soetjipto were among Indonesian government officials who visited Tokyo to discuss the proposed Abadi liquefied natural gas project with Inpex chief executive Takayuki Ueda, writes Amanda Battersby.

The talks focused on the final details of Inpex’s plan to exploit its giant Abadi gas field as Indonesia’s next major liquefaction project.
