The ConocoPhillips-led owners of the Bayu-Undan gas and condensate field in the Timor Sea are warming up for a new infill drilling programme aimed at generating higher production rates.

Santos said in its latest guidance that a final investment decision for the next phase of Bayu-Undan infill well development is planned for the first half of this year.

Sources said the infill work will comprise of three additional wells at the field, which will be a combination of subsea and platform wells.
