UK player InfraStrata has signed a deal with a private company aimed at developing the country’s first floating storage and regasification unit project, writes Eoin O’Cinneide.

London-listed InfraStrata said the exclusivity agreement with Cayman Islands-registered Meridian Holdings paves the way for the development of the project at Morecambe Bay in Cumbria, north-west England.

The project involves the development of a floating liquefied natural gas port at Barrow-in-Furness with projected capacity of 5 million tonnes per annum of LNG.
