Inpex has stirred engineering contractors in Australia with an opportunity to take up a five-year asset support contract on the Ichthys liquefied natural gas project in Darwin.
The Ichthys brownfield engineering services workscope is planned to begin in the first quarter of 2016 for a period of five years.
Full details of the workscope are not yet available.
However, according to an Inpex document that invited tier one and two contractors to submit expressions of interest to bid for the lucrative job, the successful party will “provide engineering services for a suite of brownfields projects at both offshore and onshore facilities, but excluding subsea projects”.
