Russian technical watchdog Rosteknadzor revealed in a recent report that a key gas pipeline feeding a major region near Moscow that suffered a huge explosion late last year had not been subjected to any inspections in 67 years.
The report was prepared after a major accident on the Serpukhov–Leningrad trunk gas pipeline near the village of Ivankovo on the eve of 2019 left thousands of residents in the Serpukhov district and two districts in nearby Kaluga region without gas supply.
