Norwegian oil giant Equinor has launched a tender to charter a high-specification drilling rig to carry out a development programme at its operated Carcara field in Brazil’s prolific Santos basin pre-salt province, writes Fabio Palmigiani.
Well-informed sources told Upstream that Equinor invited a handful of international drillers including Valaris (formerly EnscoRowan), Transocean and Seadrill to submit commercial proposals on 20 November.
