Inter Pipeline, formed two years ago from the Canadian pipeline business of Koch Industries, said the deal will boost the value of distributions for unit holders and position the company to benefit from future frontier pipelines. Inter Pipeline is buying 100% of the Cochrane plant and the Empress 11 facility, while it gets 50% of the Empress V plant, all of which are located in southern Alberta and combined represent one of the largest NGL extraction businesses in North America.
