Mexico is poised for some interesting mid-water exploration as the second half of the year gets under way, with work commitments from the second Round 2.1 on the schedule, writes Kathrine Schmidt.
Many of these blocks were classified as shallow water in the 2017 bid round, but water depths range up to 500 or 600 metres in some cases, much deeper than the shallow-water production Mexico has historically been known for.
