Iran is ratcheting up tension with the US over its nuclear programme by threatening to increase enrichment of uranium to 20% purity in breach of its landmark 2015 nuclear agreement.
Such a move would far exceed the small steps Iran has taken in the past week to push beyond limits set in the nuclear pact signed with the US, European powers, Russia and China.
