Iran's Foreign Minister Javad Zarif has warned against an arms race in the Middle East, saying recent US weapons sales have turned the Persian Gulf region into a "tinderbox ready to blow up", writes Nassir Shirkhani.

Zarif said during a visit to Qatar that more warships in the Persian Gulf would only lead to yet more insecurity.
