The US is granting Iraq a renewed 90-day waiver to allow it to keep importing electricity and natural gas from Iran despite US sanctions against Tehran, writes Nassir Shirkhani.
The waiver, issued in December, expired on 19 March.
"While this waiver is intended to help Iraq mitigate energy shortages, we continue to discuss our Iran-related sanctions with our partners in Iraq," a State Department official said.
