Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) awarded the contract over the weekend, five months after launching a fresh tender round capping several abortive efforts since early 2004.
Earlier this year, IOOC brought in Norway's Statoil for a possible role in providing gas flare reduction technology.
The engineering, procurement, construction and installation contract with Iritec also includes the company's Italian subsidiary Irasco and will be completed in 44 months, according to Iritec managing director Farhad Farmani.
