Snamprogetti was a key member of the TSKJ consortium, along with Technip, KBR and JGC, that secured major liquefied natural gas contracts at the Nigeria LNG site on Bonny Island.
On 17 July, Saipem said it was served with a search warrant and informed by Milan's Public Prosecutor's office that several people were being investigated, including "at least" one former senior manager of Snamprogetti.
