Production of heavy crude from Ecuador’s Petroamazonas-operated Ishpongo, Tiputini, Tambococha (ITT) complex has passed the 80,000 barrels per day mark, following a drilling programme on the Tambacocha field in Orellana province, writes Gareth Chetwynd.
State-run Petroamazonas has so far drilled 56 wells on Tambocacha, and the field is currently accounting for 50,000 bpd, according to Petroamazonas general manager Alex Galarraga.
