The contactor's Spartec subsidiary provided overall project management for the design, engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning of the offshore production facility, which is the world's deepest spar, located in 5610 feet of water in the Gulf of Mexico.
The field was initially slated to come on stream in mid-2003, but delays arising from issues ranging from lead paint to loop currents forced the project off schedule.
