The semi-submersible development, which Chevron calls its “signature project” in the US Gulf, sits in about 7000 feet of water in Walker Ridge Block 718.
The facility — the largest of its kind in the US Gulf — is expected to produce up to 94,000 barrels per day of oil and 21 million cubic feet per day of gas in its first phase from the Jack and St Malo fields as flows ramp up over the next several years.
