Pemex is set to start drilling with a Chinese-owned jack-up off Mexico at the end of July or early August.
The F&G JU2000E-design newbuild, owned by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC), is en route from China to Mexico aboard heavy transport vessel HLV Zhen Hua 15.
The rig, which is on contract to Mexican services player Marinsa for around two years, is set to be operated by Pemex Drilling & Services.
