Singapore independent Jadestone Energy plans to develop two shallow-water gas fields in Vietnam with wellhead platforms tied into an existing offshore pipeline.

The Nam Du and U Minh gas fields are located in Block 46/07 and Block 51, respectively, off south-west Vietnam. The two fields are 23 kilometres apart and lie immediately north of the Repsol-operated PM3 project area.

Jadestone is aiming to connect its gas from the Nam Du and U Minh gas fields to the PM3-to-Ca Mau gas export pipeline to southern Vietnam.
