The environmental clean-up from Pertamina’s oil spill off Java, Indonesia could take more than six months, according to local government officials.
Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Minister Susi Pudjiastuti said the government and Pertamina would need at least six months to conduct environmental recovery efforts in affected areas.
"There will certainly be continuous conservation and recovery programmes to address the impacts of the oil spill," she said.
