The results of Indonesia’s elections will not be officially announced until 22 May but so-called quick counts point to incumbent President Joko Widodo having comfortably secured a second five-year term, writes Amanda Battersby.
Yet this widely expected victory is not having the calming effect that might have been expected after the 17 April presidential race that pitted Jokowi, as he is popularly known, against ex-army general Prabowo Subianto.
