“The Council of Ministers approved signing a final agreement with Shell to supply the LNG terminal in Aqaba... we will start looking into the final details of the agreement,” Energy Minister Mohammad Hamed reportedly said.
Jordanian and Shell teams are expected to meet soon to flesh out the final agreement, which is expected to be signed in June, Hamed said.
Shell is to provide 590 million cubic feet of gas per day to a floating storage and re-gasification unit under the five-year agreement.
