Kazakhstan has started natural gas exports to China using the Beyneu-Bozoy-Shymkent pipeline connection to the transnational Central Asia-China gas pipeline, writes Kama Mustafayeva.

According to an agreement signed between Kaztransgas, a subsidiary of state-owned Kazmunaigaz, and PetroChina, gas will be received at the Khorgos border point.

The length of the export route through Kazakhstan is about 3000 kilometres.

Kaztransgas will supply 5 billion cubic metres of gas within a year, according to an agreement between the two sides.
