The Kyzylorda inter-regional economic court ruled in favour of Turgai, which had claimed in a lawsuit that Petrokazakhstan had taken the oil earlier this year without asking the company's permission.
It was claimed the situation arose because Turgai sends all of its output for initial processing at field facilities that are controlled by the Canadian company.
In response, a Petrokazakhstan spokesman said that the company had paid for the oil that was shipped to the Chimkent oil refinery under an October 2003 domestic supply agreement between the two companies.
