US contractor KBR has landed the pre-front-end engineering and design deal from BP for the next two phases of the UK supermajor’s Greater Tortue-Ahmeyim (GTA) development off Mauritania and Senegal.
The Houston-based company said phases two and three of the liquefied natural gas scheme will see an ultra-deepwater subsea system “tied back to mid-water gas processing platforms”.
“The gas will then be transferred to pre-treatment and offshore LNG facilities located at the established phase one hub,” it said, without elaborating.
